Dropping off my son at the University. We are from Southern California and weren't to sure about Mexican food in Northern Iowa being good. But this place was amazing. Great food great service.

I absolutely love the food. Used to live in El Paso, TX and I had a ratatouille moment but with Mexican food.

Service was prompt and the food was good. I will definitely go back. Only drawback was that it was so dark, I could barely read the menu.

Have visited twice in three days and plan to go again. Food and service are great.

Great food. Came out hot and fast. We were the only ones there right as it opened, as it was our only choice after Baccalaureate and before the 3 pm graduation ceremony. Would go back.

It was so cold inside my plate was the only thing served hot! Food and service was ok considering I was the only 1 in there.

Stopped in for lunch, got the verde burrito which was pretty good. Good portions for lunch and I was in and out in 20 minutes.

The food was good. Everytime someone opened the door the place got 20 degrees colder.

I had the steak fajitas and they were not that great.. the meat was extremely tough... usually I enjoy this place.

One of the best Mexican Restaurants that we have eaten at. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We will defiantly come back and eat here when we are in the area.

We enjoyed a wonderful supper there yesterday. Food was really tasty and flavorful. Staff was attentive and prices were good. We will return if in the area again.

This is my favorite place to go in Forest City: good food, great service, friendly people. Plus, it makes me feel a bit more relieved to see the staff always wearing masks and practicing social distancing during this pandemic. Definitely recommend to anyone wishing to try out some authentic Mexican food in Forest City.

Food is OK...not all that great. And apparently the management is fine with letting a local drunk bother patrons by being loud, boisterous, and walking up to their table and interrupting their meal with his drunken banter. It's always nice to have a drunk tell you to F off when you ask him to please let you finish your meal in peace after you've politely listened to his incessant drunk rant for over five minutes.

I use the "tounge test", if they don't serve beef tounge, it's not real Mexican. The weirdest thing about this place is the painting on the wall (see photo attached). An Aztec man carries a tied up woman to what appears to be her sacrifice. She's bound and drugged or passed out. Kinda sick for a restaurant don't you think? Pass on this place to eat, but come into see the picture.

Very please tr have found a local restaurant that served good Mexican food. I used to live in Texas and rarely find a place that serves as good of Mexican food as this place. I'll be back.

Fast Friendly service and Great food makes for a wonderful dinner out

Mexican food is different. Didn't really care for it. Never had chili rellano made that way. But I'm from calif. Where mexican food is awesome.

Has went down hill a lityle since the first time i was there. The chips were stale and the rice has freezer burnt taste to it. I will give it one more chance ands them i will not go back if it isnt better thsn this visit.

It had great food and great service! We had a large group so it took awhile to get our food, but server kept us filled with chips, salsa and drinks. Everything was tasty authentic Mexican dishes. Totally recommend this place!

Home town atmosphere. Large portions. Guaq was great. Our friends ordered margaritas and said they were good.

I can tell other people have had better experiences but, my food was bland, dry, and overall tasteless. The service was okay, the food definetly took quite a while. The waiters were great, very friendly.
